This is an idea of mine that I felt the need to share. I created the video below after having performed this "talk" for a class of mine. It is in the form, more or less, of a TED Talk. This is my first time using a screen-recording software and providing a voice over as well. I actually found it very easy to do and could see myself using similar programs within the classroom one day. My goal for this project was to present an idea - an idea worth sharing - to an audience that consisted of first-year teachers. The idea stems from my role as a substitute teacher, who is constantly in a state of "homelessness" - no ownership of a classroom is present. I attempt to reveal how I have found the art of substitute teaching to be very similar to the art of fly fishing, and how I see the teaching of students to be very similar to the catching of trout. There is much more that could be said, but I believe that the video below will give you a fair understanding of what I mean. Enjoy,
